Peer mediation is a method of conflict resolution in which appropriately trained boys and girls take an active role in resolving disputes within youth settings and enables them to manage conflicts independently, contributing to the prevention of disrespectful, discriminatory, and violent behaviors and helping to create a more harmonious environment.
Peer mediation is an approach that encourages the active participation of young people, allowing them to develop listening, empathy, and negotiation skills that are valuable not only for resolving school-related conflicts, but also for their personal and social development.
