How to build, maintain and restore relationships in education - from kindergarten through to upper secondary school

Safe Learning, Norway (www.trygglaring.no) offers theoretical and practical training in conflict resolution based on restorative thinking and principles and how these practices can be implemented in schools. It is about building a positive and safe school culture and by doing so, preventing harm from happening. Preventing harm from happening is, as we see it, part of conflict resolution. By training children and young adults with conflict resolutions skills we provide them with life skills. And likewise, a whole learning community will benefit from training school staff, teachers, principals, assistants and parents.

Safe Learning is an organization working to promote and develop a healthy and positive psychosocial learning environment and restorative justice throughout the entire course of education, from kindergarten through to upper secondary school. The organization began as the network organization Norwegian Forum for School Mediation (NFFS) in 2009 and became a formal organization in 2011. In the fall of 2013 NFFS changed its name to Safe Learning.
